Malahat Nation signed a forest tenure agreement with the province of BC in
September 2008.
This five-year agreement allows us to apply for a license to
harvest up to 3,000 cubic meters every year until 2013.
This was an Interim
Measures Agreement and replaced a 1996 deal signed by the Te'mexw Treaty
Association with the government of BC.
