Chief Michael Harry and Councillors Dean Harry Sr. and Russell Harry took office on Jan. 13, 2010 and their terms end on Jan. 12, 2012.

Elections for Chief and two Councillors are held every two years. Malahat Nation elections under the band election system as defined by the Indian Act. The next election will be held in January 2012. In order for council to make a decision, at least two members must be in attendance and vote on an issue. This is called a ‘quorum’.
